Fashion: The Wild Side
Whenever I need to relax or clear my head, I always like to go on a long walk, through a natural area. Today just happened to be one of those days, so I headed off to my local nature reserve, (which is conveniently only a twenty minute walk from my house).
After I had slipped several times in mud and cut my leg on a stinger, I finally reached the peak of the hill. There they were. About four or five beautiful wild horses! I must have spent the next twenty minutes showing them affection. I love horses see, I used to go riding (I really need to pick that hobby back up again). I just couldn't resist getting my picture taken with my new found friends so that gave me the idea for this shoot... and this has to be my favourite post to date. It is just so... me.
People seem to presume - because I spend most of my time in pretty dresses and stilettos - I'm not the type of person to go wondering through muddy fields. Maybe I'm a bit of a contradiction, but I like both: being a city girl and trekking through countryside. That just sums up the fact that stereotypes don't really ring true. People are too complex to be put into a box.
I like my outfits to have a character to them. This one I call: woodland nymph meets modern women. The skirt gives a floaty, ethereal feel and the floral patterns are in tune with my surroundings, (plus, a good old pair of vintage boots, as I don't want to ruin my good shoes.) Do you like this outfit? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
