Katharine Hepburn is such an inspiration to me, she had this amazing attitude of being unapologetically herself, her of some of her best quotes, by Rosa Fairfield

Here are a few of great Katharine's quotes that I live by:
"If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun."
I've always been a fan of breaking the rules... I mean some rules are there for a reason and shouldn't be broken but little harmless things are always fun. I 100% believe in breaking silly social conventions. You should always try and push boundaries. Especially when it comes to creativity, you should always think outside the box.
"Life is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that it is going to be interesting. And you don't do that by sitting around."
I hate this whole concept of spending your whole life working in a job that makes you miserable to pay the bills. I believe in finding a way to make money out of your interests so you are never miserable about waking up on Monday morning. The second part is so important... that this takes a lot of hard work and energy. You can't just start a project and hope for instant success.
"If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased."
My all time favourite quote and something I absolutely life by. No matter how hard you try you will never fully please everyone... or sometimes even one person and you should never change who you are to please others because that's not authentic. Put yourself first because no one else will, sometimes you just have to be selfish to live the life you want. This doesn't mean completely disregarding other people, you can still be a kind, caring person whilst following your own desires.
"I never realized until lately that women were supposed to be the inferior sex."
You know what, neither did I. I always thought men and women were 100% equal. That anything a man could do, a woman could do too. That there weren't certain ways people from the different genders should act.
"Life can be wildly tragic at times, and I've had my share. But whatever happens to you, you have to keep a slightly comic attitude. In the final analysis, you have got to not forget to laugh."
I've always believed that when bad things happen, you should try and find the humour in them instead of complaining. That's the way that I keep on moving forward. If I was constantly down, every time something went wrong I would be miserable.
"Everyone thought I was bold and fearless and even arrogant, but inside I was always quaking."
I think this is a beautiful reminder that everyone gets scared... being brave isn't not experiencing fear, it's having the ability to overcome it. It's the ability to put on a confident front to the world... to speak your mind and follow your dreams, even if that scares the hell out of you.
