Harmful UV Rays
Sunglasses offer protection against UV rays, which can cause eye diseases. UV rays aren't only present in the summer. The sun can in fact be considered more harmful during the winter months because of its position. The snow is also known to reflect 85 percent of the sun's UV rays.
Battle The Elements
Some sunglasses are specifically designed to protect against bad weather conditions but I have found that a simple pair of sunglasses can offer some protection. When it rains, the water bounces off the glasses, protecting the eyes... but after a while they can get steamed up.
You can very easily get something stuck in your eye, on a windy day. Sunglasses can create a barrier against this.
A Touch Of Glamour
As well as being important to eye health, sunglasses instantly glam up any outfit. They create an element of mystery and are often associated with stylish icons. They don't just look great, they also make you feel fabulous.
Sun Exposure Causes Wrinkles
We are an era obsessed with youth and the more sun exposure a person has, the earlier wrinkles appear. UV rays are the cause of this. As we have already established, these still are present in winter months
Light Sensitive Eyes
I often blink and squint, when outdoors, even on days where it isn't considered to be very bright. Therefore, sunglasses help me to go about my daily business without eye irritation.
