Rosa Does The Midi Skirt
I've always been a fan of the midi skirt, pretty patterned midi skirts are my signature style. Right now, everyone seems to be going crazy for them - they are the perfect spring compromise - so I thought I would share with you some of my midi skirt styling tips.
1. The knotted shirt around the waist
This is one of my favourites and appears often on my blog. I like to pair a shirt with a midi skirt... but instead of tucking the ends in, I tie them in a knot around my waist. This look gives of a casual-smart 1950s vibe and is great for making your waist appear smaller.
2. The crop top
This one is for the warmer weather, but I do love to pair a cute, tight fitting crop top with a midi skirt. This look gives a fun, contemporary take on a classic style.
3. The plain, tight fitting top.
This is the style I'm demonstrating in these pictures. I like to pair a fun, patterned midi skirt with a plain, tight-fitting top. This look is simple and makes the skirt the focus of the outfit. It can either be made to look casual-modern, with a plain t-shirt, or sophisticated with a structured top.
4. Pearls and heels.
If you want to make the outfit look classic and sophisticated, I always opt for adding a simple set of pearls and a cute pair of heels. It adds some old world glamour to the look.
5. Flats or plimsols
Again, for a more casual look, I wear my midi with ballet flats or plimsolls. They are easier to move in and this is a great way to work smart/casual.
What I wore:
Sunglasses: Jil Sander
Skirt: Roses by Rosa Fairfield
