Fashion: My Collection
Over the next couple of weeks, I will be launching my first collection, which will be part of my very own fashion label, called: Roses by Rosa Fairfield. The label will offer a number of ready-to-wear pieces, as well as a couture option for any of our designs. It will feature a mixture of fun prints and pastels in block colours. All designs are a modern twist on classic 1950s styles. The label's vibe is whimsical elegance.
The label is a collaboration with my mother and is inspired by love of 1950s fashion. I adore the shapes and tailored fit of the clothing. Yet, I didn't just want to recreate retro outfits, as I wanted my designs to be new and exciting. This just about sums up my personality: I have always, secretly dreamed of being a perfect 1950s housewife wearing gorgeous dresses, yet I am a modern women who wants a long and successful career. This label is a mixture of both of those worlds, it has the beautiful feminine styles of the 50s with a modern twist.
The outfit in the images, is a piece of couture, which I hand-crafted specifically for myself. My second ready-to-wear collection - to be released in the summer - will feature a number of outfits in this design in different patterns and textures.
